Jon Kaufmann -- Sole Proprietor
Born and raised in New York City, I attended the Calhoun school from first grade through high school. I attended Alfred University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree. I also received my paralegal certificate at New York University. I started out doing legal proofreading, among my other duties, as a paralegal at the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley, and McCloy in 1990. When I left in 2001, I attended classes at Moritz Legal Proofreading and took an intensive course in proofreading basics at Queens College. I started my own proofreading service in 2003, and quickly picked up my first client, for whom I still work today. In addition to proofreading, I copyedit, create PowerPoint slides, and do whatever other editorial work needs doing on a wide variety of projects. Included in these are:
